They're Here!

Today we welcomed the Class of 2016 of the on-campus graduate program in health care administration to Trinity University!  The day began with introductions and lunch at the Holt Conference Center, followed by students' first presentation assignment.  Breaking into groups of 3 or 4, students worked together to provide entertaining presentations on a variety of topics such as activities and attractions in San Antonio, interesting facts about Trinity University, profiles of faculty members, or why students are drawn to a career in health care administration.  Given the fact that most students had known their classmates for less than 24 hours, these first presentations required a healthy dose of courage, humor, humility, and creativity.  Thankfully, not only did all of our students survive their first assignment, they all did a great job, with presentations ranging from skits to songs to quizzes to quick photo tours of San Antonio.  As these presentations were a competition, complete with a panel of judges, one talented team took home the top prize with a bag full of goodies, including Trinity University water bottles and one-of-a-kind coupons for perks with different faculty members, such as passes to excuse one tardy arrival to class, lunch with faculty, and even a ride in a Tesla.  Congrats, Sarah, Thomas, Mariah, and Hugh!

Welcome to our on-campus students in the Class of 2016; we're so glad you're here!
